This article is about 5 south africans that have invested in portions of Banyana farms. The article talks about the improvement of export rate, and the revenue going up. But that locals are paying the price. Locals do not have enough money to buy the high cost of the low amount of materials.
The culture in this article is like everywhere else. A chance to get more money is taken even though it is going to harm locals. This also has been done for many years now and there is no upside to it.
The country is very poor as it is. Now it is trying to improve that by exporting a lot of materials. Unfortunately the only people not benefiting from this, is the people who acutely live there. This ties in with their couture because they are a very poor country and now it is even worse.
